Day 1…

Wow! This is a little more terrifying than I thought it would be. I mean, I haven’t had to write anything besides lesson plans for ages, so I knew this would be a challenge. But I’ve never written anything personal and put it out there for people to read. In addition, I’ve never been good at keeping a journal. Case in point, I got a new journal for Christmas that is still in the wrapper sitting on the table with the pretty pens I thought would get me excited about writing. Silly me! I thought, “Who can’t find 5 minutes in their day to jot down some things that happened or something to be thankful for?” This is going to be a interesting journey. However, somehow, just getting started, I find myself more excited now than anxious. This is going to be good for me!

  1. Welcome to slicing! I felt the exact same way as you did when I decided to write and publish. My first slice was 3 maybe 4 years ago. You will love it! Can’t wait to read more of your slices.

  2. So glad you decided to take the challenge. It is amazing that the first time you do this challenge it is super scary, but the more years you pile up, the easier it gets. I really look forward to March and I hope you feel the same way next year.

  3. Brenda, you’re here! Your words are honest and raw, “Wow! This is a little more terrifying than I thought it would be.” Those feelings are natural and are what will make this journey so meaningful for you. Welcome aboard! Enjoy the ride.

  5. Yes! I think we have all been there. I love how truthful you are about your feelings! There are going to be days where ideas are flowing and others where they are stuck but you can do this!
